My Journey

Born in Japan, I was drawn from an early age to what truly "made sense" in this world.

My deep spiritual curiosity led me to travel internationally from my early twenties, experiencing colorful and life-changing events.  This was long before the internet and digital culture transformed our lives. The world moved at a slower, simpler pace, in rhythm with the sun, the moon, and the stars. I followed my heart, trusting each impulse to guide me toward when and where I needed to be.

Meeting an Indian mystic became one of the greatest turning points of my life. Living in his meditation ashram for several years was the most profound and transformative education I have ever received. Everything unfolded in a deeply organic way through silent meditation, spontaneous ecstatic dance, Gestalt Therapy, Shadow Work, Postural Integration, Psychic Energy Work, Craniosacral Therapy, and many other healing practices. Each experience gradually shook away my old identity and opened my understanding to an entirely new way of seeing life.

In time, I was guided to complete extensive training as a therapist and healing bodyworker so that I could share these teachings and healing practices with others

My life in California began with midlife crisis, even though I was still in my thirties. I continually asked myself, "What is the Universe trying to tell me right now?" I felt called to understand the deeper layers of heartache, difficulties, and what it truly means to be human. As I continued working with people as a therapist and healing practitioner, my own healing journey became even more significant.

Around this time, I became deeply interested in the meaning of embodiment—fully listening to and experiencing the world through the wisdom of the body.

This led me to Yoga Therapy and I returned to India to study conscious dance and movement practices. I deepened my understanding of the body's innate intelligence. I became increasingly aware of its subtle rhythms: the fluidity of movement, the gentle waves of the craniosacral system, the life force flowing through the spine and the profound effect of what I eat and drink. Everything around me became vividly alive, Kundalini energy, the resonance of each chakra, and the way they all seem to move in harmony with the rhythms of the ocean and the natural world.

Now I am in another cycle of life—my sixties. I don't see this as moving beyond my age, but rather as arriving exactly where I am meant to be. Instead of slowing down, I feel more inspired than ever to continue working with people. In many ways, I feel that I am only now beginning my true work.

I believe the world is shifting and awakening. Giving and receiving healing is an essential part of this great transformation. It is both a personal journey and a collective revolution and I am grateful to be part of it.
