Trauma Healing

The body is the doorway to the healing journey

Through my years of working with people, I have observed how deeply past experiences can influence the way we live in the present.  Physical discomfort, emotional struggles, and a sense of inner disconnection may sometimes be related to experiences that were overwhelming, unresolved, or never fully processed.

Trauma does not always come from one major event, but can also come from smaller experiences, repeated patterns, loss or fear. These circumstances may have seemed insignificant at the time but can leave a lasting impression on the nervous system and the psyche.

Sometimes we remember these experiences clearly. And other times, we cannot remember without conscious awareness. We may naturally protect ourselves by setting painful experience aside, allowing us to continue moving forward with life. Yet what has not been fully processed may continue to influence us in subtle ways, such as thought patterns appearing in the body..

These patterns may manifest as muscle tension, chronic pain, anxiety, and hypervigilance. Over time, they can affect the immune system, emotional resilience, and quality of life.

My work is to guide people to awaken the trauma healing process
in themselves

Craniosacral Therapy Healing & Trauma Recovery

Through subtle touch, I work with the craniosacral system, cerebrospinal fluid, fascia, and connective tissues. Listening to the body's subtle inner rhythms we invite a greater awareness of what is held within.

As the nervous system becomes more settled, it becomes possible to process and integrate the effects of past experiences at the body's own natural pace.

This work also supports a healthy vagus nerve function. The vagus nerve plays an important role in the parasympathetic nervous system. It regulates the neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory, and digestive functions.

As the nervous system becomes more regulated, people experience a deeper sense of safety, inner peace, physical grounding, and emotional resilience.

Each session is a gentle invitation to reconnect with yourself, restore balance, and awaken your own self healing abilities and inner intelligence that resides within your body.

Key Points of Emotional Work in Craniosacral Therapy Healing with Trauma

The Heart

The Heart Center is the place I focus on when I work with trauma. I gently place my hands on the heart center of the client. I listen for emotions that may have been held inside for years, allowing them to be felt and soften.

The Sacrum — “The Sacred Bone”

Sacrum means “sacred bone.”

Holding the sacrum, I listen for its natural movement and the subtle rhythm of the craniosacral system between the sacrum and cranium. As the movement becomes quieter, I wait and observe. The face may soften, the body may release tension, and the breath may become easier.

The Diaphragm — “The Power Chakra”

The diaphragm is a powerful center of the body, closely connected with breathing. It may also reflect patterns of tension associated with anxiety, grief, vulnerability.Through gentle touch, I listen to the tissues and allow them to soften and unwind in their own time, both physically and energetically.

The Psoas — “The Secret Closet”

The psoas is a deep muscle supporting posture and the body's response to stress. I sometimes call it the “secret closet” of the body, a place where unexpressed feelings and emotions may remain hidden.

Through gentle touch, we begin to open this secret closet, not by forcing anything, but by gently discovering what is there.

The Liver & Gallbladder

In traditional healing systems, the liver and gallbladder are associated with emotional patterns and the effects of daily stress. I combine Jin Shin Therapy, working with the Three Yin Intersection—a powerful point where the Liver, Kidney, and Spleen channels meet—with Craniosacral Healing to support the gentle release of emotional holding and stress.

The Throat & Thyroid — “The Center of Expression”

The throat and thyroid area are connected with communication, self-expression, and speaking our truth. The throat represents communication and self-expression. Unspoken words and hidden feelings may reflected as tension in the body. Through gentle touch, I invite more space to express what is inside.

The Cranium — 22 Bones Protecting the Brain

The cranium consists of 22 bones: eight cranial bones and fourteen facial bones. I use gentle, specific techniques to work with the cranial structures, listening for subtle movement and areas of tension to support greater balance and ease.

Each bone has its own unique quality of movement. Here are a few that I often pay particular attention to:

TMJ & The Jaw

The jaw can hold tension associated with stress and emotional holding. I work gently with the jaw and its connection to the temporal bones to address this tension and support easier movement.

The Sphenoid

The sphenoid bone, with its beautiful butterfly-like shape, sits at the base of the skull and is an important structural part of the cranium.

It is also closely related to the structures surrounding the pituitary gland and provides pathways for important nerves and blood vessels.

The sphenoid is one of the places I often gently contact during a session, listening for its subtle movement and relationship with the rest of the cranial system.

The Crown — “The 100 Meeting Point”

At the top of the head is the crown chakra, the  “100 Meeting Point.” As I listen to the cranial system, I invite a sense of spaciousness. The crown opens like a skylight, creating a deeper connection with Universal energy.

Client Testimonial

“Receiving healing work from yasue has led me into a great deal of new self discovery.

My early childhood was painfully traumatic, I lived in a state of survival, but I was not aware of how much those experiences were affecting my adult life until I had a stroke and lost control of one side of my body. Recovery time was very hard and I felt lost untilI I met Yasue.

During our first session, I expressed my anger fully through my words. I couldn’t stop talking about everything that had happened to me. At some point Yasue started placing her hands on my head and began the Craniosacral Healing session. While she was working on me something shifted. I did not know I could be so quiet and I loved it.

Yasue calls this experience of quietness, “dynamic stillness”, like returning to the womb. I am different person now. I feel like I have been reborn.
