Yoga Therapy
Wisdom of Self-Healing
Yoga therapy is a personalized mind-body practice that uses specific movement, breathing practices, meditation, and body awareness to support healing and well-being.
I specialize in supporting people recovering from injury and surgery, as well as those experiencing physical or emotional trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, stress, and other life challenges.
I also work with people who want to embody the yogic way, bringing greater awareness, peacefulness, and vital energy into everyday life.
Yoga therapy is one-to-one support, shaped around your individual needs, your nervous system, and your life situation.
Creating Your Own Practice
My work is to guide you in creating your own yoga practice according to your physical, mental and emotional state.
Every individual is different. Together we discover which yoga methods you may need at this moment.
Practicing therapeutic yoga is like giving a healing session to your own body, mind, and spirit. With each breath and growing body awareness, you gradually move deeper into the core of your heart. Over time, you may begin to discover that your body has its own wisdom and its own way of moving toward healing from within.
You will learn simple methods that become part of your daily life, creating a more supportive and harmonious lifestyle.
This is a process of empowering yourself, progressing toward greater health and well-being through the ancient self-healing wisdom of yoga.
Yoga Therapy meets you where you are, connecting you with your own self-healing potential.
Coming Home to Your Body
A central focus of my yoga therapy work is to help regulate the nervous system and learn how to safely come back into your own body. Rather than forcing the body into a particular shape or experience, we learn to listen.
Combining healing bodywork with Yoga Therapy can create a supportive way to explore your healing process. The bodywork allows a deeper awareness, while yoga gives you simple practices that you can continue on your own.

My Story with Yoga
“Yoga is like a love story. You get into it, and you change.”
About 30 years ago, I got my first yoga mat, a purple one. I carried that yoga mat with me through all my yoga classes in California: Ashtanga Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Hot Yoga, and many others. I became fascinated by what yoga can do, not only to the human body, but also to our consciousness.
In 2004, I completed the residential certification program VYOMA-YIC in Bangalore, India.
The following year, I completed my yoga therapy training at Atma Vikasa Centre of Yogic Sciences in Mysore, India.
This yoga therapy training was one of the most serious and challenging experiences of my life. In the middle of the training, I suddenly developed a mysterious fever that lasted for several days. I was worried, but my teacher simply said, “Don’t worry. I have seen this before. Keep showing up and keep practicing.”
When the fever finally passed, I felt that something inside me had shifted, and I experienced a deep transformation. Yogic traditions compare this experience to a serpent shedding its old skin and moving into a new form. For me, this was more than simply completing a yoga training. It was the beginning of my true life as a yogini.
Client Testimonial
“I feel more calm, steady, and connected to myself
I found Yasue while recovering from serious digestive surgery.
I started receiving Craniosacral Therapy sessions, which helped me return to my normal life, especially by helping me sleep more deeply. I wanted to come back more fully into my body so I began Yoga Therapy with her as a way to combine the two approaches.
After about two months, it made a real difference in how I feel, both physically and mentally. Yasue starts with the basics: breath, getting grounded, and getting centered.
I especially love chakra breathing and Sun Salutations. The breathing feels like it clears my whole system, and I now begin my day with these practices. She goes much deeper than simply following postures during a session. In every session, I feel my body opening up in new ways, and I leave feeling calmer, steadier, and more connected to myself.
I look forward to continuing my Yoga Therapy with Yasue and building a practice that I can carry with me for the rest of my life.”
