Craniosacral Therapy Healing

What is Craniosacral Therapy Healing?

Tuning into your own pulse and inner rhythms, you begin to resonate with the whole Universe, the ocean waves, the sun, the moon and the stars.

It is a gentle yet powerful form of hands-on somatic therapy healing.

There are 22 bones that make up the human head. With a very gentle and light touch, as I hold your head or other parts of your body, I focus upon optimizing the position of the bones, supporting the fluid movement and energy of the cranio-sacral system, and bringing that system back to balance in the midline of the body. The cerebrospinal fluid is like “the sap of a tree”.

With this technique we are balancing the vertebra, sacrum, brain and central nervous system. Listening through my hands to your body’s subtle rhythms, and any patterns of inertia or congestion, I facilitate the expression of the “Breath of Life” to enhance your body’s own self -healing capabilities.

As we have a rhythm to our breath and heart beat, there is an even more subtle rhythmic flow in our body: the craniosacral wave. The two main components of this system are the brain and the spinal cord. Think of your brain as a computer and your spinal cord as the cable. The spinal cord links the computer’s input and output to the rest of your body and your entire bodily functions. Your whole body expands and contracts with the rhythm of the pumping fluids. Craniosacral therapy healing is not only relief from physical pain and discomfort, it also restores clarity, emotional wholeness and balance within the body. Once the body is in a relaxed state, craniosacral therapy healing has the ability to teach on a cellular level. The body knows this, every cell in the body remembers the connection with the forces of healing. The more the body remembers this natural state, the more it can allow itself to heal.

The more the body remembers this natural state,
the more it can allow itself to heal.

Various Approaches to working with the Craniosacral System

In order to find the most beneficial way to work on each client’s individual needs and concerns, I draw from a variety of approaches to the craniosacral system. My work includes both non-manipulative and gentle manipulative approaches.

Biodynamic Approach

Focuses on the body's inherent self-healing forces, often referred to as the "Breath of Life" and primary respiration rhythms.

This method helps to maintain a quiet, receptive state of stillness to support the central nervous system's own capacity to reorganize and heal.

It is deep, profound energy medicine work and the platform of my practice.

Biomechanical Approach

Focuses on evaluating the Cranial Rhythmic Impulse (CRI), and locates specific physical restrictions in the bones, sutures, and membranes of the skull and spine.

Craniosacral Mouth work

Specialized, light touch techniques to release tension, restrictions, and trauma in the jaw, hard palate and hidden small cranial bones. This is the best way to release TMJ disorder & post dental surgery, treatment. It is also helpful for migraines, tinnitus, sinus issues, lower back issues, etc.

“When the tension in the mouth lets go, the whole body may begin to let go.”

Jin shin therapy

Defined as “The Way of the Compassionate Spirit”, this therapy guides energy in the body through the great ancient wisdom of acupressure and provides a short cut to harmonizing the body mind and heart.

Craniosacral Myofascial therapy / Visceral manipulation

Gentle, hands on manual therapies that evaluate and treat restrictions in the body’s soft tissues, fascia, central nervous system, and internal organs.

Fascia and the nervous system are closely linked and connect throughout the body.

Integrative Quantum Medicine IQM™

Eastern Techniques of Energy Mastery, Western anatomy & physiology with Quantum Theory.

It is visionary work, looking at issues in the big picture, beyond time & space.

How many sessions are needed ?

The number of sessions depends on individual concerns, your body’s needs, and how you are living your life.

Some issues may begin to shift within a single session, while others may require more time for a deeper transformation.

For those who wish to continue the work, I recommend a series of 4~5 sessions for the most benefit. Each session builds upon the previous one, allowing the body and nervous system to integrate, release, and move toward greater balance. After completing a series, occasional tune up maintenance sessions may be helpful when needed.

Usually I give some homework, breathing techniques, meditation, yoga poses, good diet, etc., to support each client’s healing process.
